Der amerikanische Technologiekonzern Microsoft Corp. (ISIN: US5949181045, NYSE: MSFT) kündigte am Mittwoch ein Aktienrückkaufprogramm über 40 Mrd. US-Dollar an. Das im Dow-Jones-Index gelistete Unternehmen gab auch eine Dividendenerhöhung um 11 Prozent auf 51 US-Cents je Anteilsschein bekannt. Microsoft zahlte zuletzt eine Quartalsdividende in Höhe von 46 US-Cents. Es werden künftig 2,04 US-Dollar jährlich ausbezahlt. Die Dividendenrendite liegt beim aktuellen Börsenkurs von 138,52 US-Dollar bei 1,47 Prozent (Stand: 18. September 2019).
Die Auszahlung erfolgt am 12. Dezember 2019 (Ex-Dividenden Tag: 20. November 2019). Insgesamt ist die jetzige Anhebung die 16. jährliche Anhebung in Folge. Der Softwareriese zahlt seit dem Jahr 2003 eine Dividende. Seitdem erfolgte jedes Jahr eine Erhöhung.

Der Börsengang erfolgte am 13. März 1986. Seit Jahresanfang 2019 weist die Aktie an der Wall Street ein Kursplus in Höhe von 36,38 Prozent auf und die Marktkapitalisierung beträgt aktuell 1.057,7 Mrd. US-Dollar (Stand: 18. September 2019).
