Google hat mit RideWith eine neue App an den Start gebracht - damit steigt der Suchmaschinengigant de facto in das Carpooling-Geschäft ein. Die App ist vorerst nur in Tel Aviv/Israel und auch nur für Android verfügbar, so Reuters.
Carpooling-Services erfreuen sich zunehmender Beliebtheit, da Reisende durch die Nutzung von Mitfahrgelegenheiten viel Geld sparen können. Die Mitfahrenden zahlen an den Fahrer für gewöhnlich eine kleine Summe, so dass mindestens die Benzinkosten abgedeckt sind.
