Bereits vier Quartale in Folge liegt die weltweite Kaffeeproduktion deutlich über dem Verbrauch. Das wird die Lagerbestände auf den höchsten Stand seit 2009 heben. An den Warenterminbörsen sind die Preise von Lieferkontrakten für Arabica-Bohnen seit ihrem 14-Jahres-Hoch im Mai 2011 um 60 Prozent gefallen. Eine Trendwende ist wegen der hohen Lagerbestände nicht in Sicht. Gut für Starbucks, den Betreiber der weltweit größten Kaffeehauskette.

Die starke Bilanz für das dritte Quartal des Geschäftsjahres (bis Ende September) stoppte zeitweilige Gewinnmitnahmen und schickte den Aktienkurs auf ein neues Allzeithoch. Der Umsatz sprang um 13 Prozent an, der Nettogewinn sogar um 25 Prozent auf 418 Millionen Dollar. Mit umgerechnet 55 Cent je Aktie waren das zwei Cent mehr als erwartet. In den beiden folgenden Jahren soll der Gewinn um jeweils 20 Prozent zulegen. Das neue Allzeithoch ist ein Kurstreiber. Die Aktie ist aber schon hoch bewertet, deshalb unbedingt zur Absicherung einen Stoppkurs setzen.
