Insbesondere soll ein Patient in der Studie Hypotonie (niedriger Augeninnendruck) und Sehverlust im behandelten Auge entwickelt haben, was das Unternehmen dazu zwang, sein klinisches Programm für ADVM-022 zu überdenken.
- Als direkte Folge dieses unerwarteten klinischen Rückschlags veröffentlichte Sonic Fund II, ein Hauptaktionär des Unternehmens, eine vernichtende Pressemitteilung, in der die Ernennung von drei neuen Vorstandsmitgliedern zur Überwachung der klinischen Entwicklung von ADVM-022 gefordert wurde.
