AMG unit signs agreement to supply solar grade silicon
Advanced Metallurgical Group said that its majority-owned subsidiary Timminco Ltd has signed a five-year agreement to provide up to 4,400 metric tons of solar grade silicon to a solar cell manufacturer. The company said the contract is its fourth long-term supply agreement, and it now expects to produce around 6,000 metric tons of high purity silicon annually from 2009.
