Why Marijuana Stocks Are Rocking Monday
The stock market is having a rough start to the week, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.25% and the S&P 500 off 0.35% in 12:45 p.m. EDT trading -- but hey, at least marijuana stocks are glowing green! Shares of cannabis industry giant Canopy Growth (NYSE: CGC) rose 8.4% in afternoon trading today, while the smaller Aurora Cannabis (NYSE: ACB) gained 11.9% and Tilray (NASDAQ: TLRY) tacked on a 12.2% gain.
And you can probably thank CNBC for that.
