Shares of Compass (NYSE: COMP), the real estate brokerage that went public in April, fell 29% last month as the post-IPO hype faded and the company's first earnings report failed to impress investors.

As you can see from the chart below, the stock steadily fell over the course of the first half of the month before stabilizing later in May.
