Das Buch »Das Elliott-Wellen-Prinzip« von Prechter & Frost ist nicht unumstritten. Gerne wird das amerikanische Original in der neuesten Auflage empfohlen. Wenn es aber um Deutsche Bücher zu diesem Thema geht, ist dieses Werk das Standardwerk. Geht es jedoch um die genauen Regeln der Elliot-Wellen Theorie, hat dieses Buch einige Defizite.

Um das Thema Elliot-Wellen korrekt anzuwenden, ist es nötig eine Vielzahl von Regeln zu beherrschen. Für diese Regeln ist das Werk von Andre Tiedje eine absolute Empfehlung. Er reduziert die Elliot-Wellen Theorie auf das nötigste, lässt dabei aber keine Frage zum Thema Regelwerk aus.
