Apple steigt um auf Snapdragon...
...das ist ein Gerücht aus Asien, und es macht Sinn. Natürlich nicht bei den Hi-End-Geräten, aber beim kommenden Billig iPhone für Entwicklungsländer. Apple hat dementiert, dass sie jemals bei der "Qualität" Kompromisse machen werden, aber an irgend was müssen sie sparen, und das wird die Rechenleistung sein. iOS hat die Stärke, deutlich weniger Rechenleistung für eine oft bessere Performance als Android zu verbrauchen, und diese Stärke muss Apple ausspielen, wenn sie Samsung an den Rand drängen wollen. Wenn andere Hersteller mit einem Billig-iPhone mithalten wollen, werden sie stärkere Prozessoren und größere Akkus benötigen, die höhere Kosten und eine schlechtere User-Experience bringen. Der Snapdragon mit integriertem Modem spart Chipfläche, Kosten und Strom, und ist damit genau der richtige Prozessor für ein Billig-iPhone.
Ich denke Qualcomm wird von so einer Meldung profitieren, und im ersten Halbjahr sind sie allgemen besser aufgestellt als Konkurrent (und meine langfristige Empfehlung) Nvidia. Aber Qualcomm ist überhaupt eine der erfolgreichsten Tech Firmen mit der höchsten Mitarbeiterzufriedenheit, die ich auch langfristig empfehle, obwohl da viel positives bereits eingepreist ist. Das Kursziel hängt ab vom Zeithorizont, und dieses Kursziel ist eher kurzfristig
