SMA hat es wie andere Solarwerte heftig in 2010 erwischt. Die Anleger trauen den Solarwerten nicht mehr viel zu. Dabei war bei SMA auch das dritte Quartal gut gelaufen und die Firma verfügt mit der Produktion in Denver über ein festes Standbein im US Markt. SMA sollte auch langfristig das Geschäft in andere Bereiche der dezentralen Energieversorgung (Brennstoffzellen, Windkraft, Smart Grid) erweitern können. SMA profitiert auch noch vom anhaltenden Solar Kraftwerks Boom in Italien und liefert z.B. für den jüngsten Car Port Auftrag von Phoenix Solar die Wechselrichter.
