Es werde damit gerechnet, dass das Wachstum im Automobil- und Industriesegment bei Infineon bis ins Jahr 2012 hinein stark anziehen könnte. In beiden Sparten herrsche ein "Superzyklus".

Im kommenden Jahr könnte der Automotive-Sektor um 7,9% wachsen, was bei Infineon einen entsprechenden Umsatzanstieg von 16% nach sich ziehen dürfte. In der Industrial-Sparte werde mit einem Zuwachs in 2012 von 10% gerechnet, nach einem Plus von 27% im laufenden Jahr.
