Exxon hat seit 1983 die Dividende jedes Jahr erhöht. Auch ein niedriger Ölpreis wirkte nicht störend. Exxon machte auch 1999 gute Gewinne, als der Ölpreis noch unter 30 $ pro Barrel stand.
Während Öl und Kraftstoff 2008 schlimme Preiszusammenbrüche erlitten ..., während die Kreditmärkte einfroren ..., und während Aktien aller Art geprügelt wurden, haben sich Exxon-Aktien stabil gehalten. Fast keine Aktie, kein Rohstoff, keine Anleihe oder Währung kann das heutzutage von sich behaupten. Und die Geldmaschine läuft weiter...
