Q2 2022 hedge fund letters, conferences and more

Well-known fund manager Jennifer Grancio of relative newcomer Engine No. 1 will also speak at the conference. Founded in December 2020, the fund made a name for itself through its campaign against energy giant Exxon Mobil Corp (NYSE:XOM).

Engine No. 1 ended up winning four seats on the company's board of directors even though it only owned 0.02% of its shares. As of the end of 2021, the impact-focused firm had $430 million in assets under management.

Other speakers include Sallie Krawcheck, co-founder and CEO of women-focused robo-advisor Ellevest, Charles Schwab President Carrie Schwab-Pomerantz, WndrCo co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg, Harlin Singh of Citi Global Wealth Investments, and Roy Swan of Mission Investments and the Ford Foundation.

Several other fund managers will also speak at the conference, including Michael Batnick and Josh Brown of Ritholtz Wealth Management, Rupal Bhansali of Ariel Global, Nancy Davis of Quadratic Capital Management, Lori Keith of Parnassus Investments, Jim Roppel of Roppel Capital Management, and venture capitalist Deena Shakir of Lux Capital.

Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy and Estaban Ordano of the Decentraland metaverse are also scheduled to speak.

Outline Of The Major Sessions At The Conference

MarketWatch also promised attendees the chance to hear from some "headline-making trailblazers" about the opportunities they see in investing in hot new sectors like cannabis, cryptocurrency and more.

These speakers will also discuss the risks associated with investing in these sectors so that conference attendees will receive a well-rounded education about those hot sectors.

The Best New Ideas Money Festival will also offer hands-on workshops and experiences aimed at helping attendees live a "healthy money lifestyle."

The conference will also provide opportunities to meet expert advisers to demonstrate how attendees can invest in themselves and how these strategies pay off in dividends via not only their portfolio but also for their personal growth and career as well.

Additionally, no conference in the financial industry would be complete without some sessions on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.

MarketWatch will host some sessions about impact investing, offering ways for attendees to put their money where their heart is as they learn from reputable leaders in the impact investing space.

MarketWatch is selling a full-access pass to the Best New Ideas Money Festival for $550 and a one-day pass for $350, which allows attendees to pick either Wednesday or Thursday to attend. A two-day virtual pass is $150.
