McDermott Intl 3Q earnings $140.4M vs $102.7M
McDermott International Inc. Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings of $140.4 million, or 61 cents a share, up slightly from a year-ago profit of $102.7 million, or 45 cents a share. Revenue rose 18.4% in the three months ended Sept. 30 to $1.32 billion from $1.12 billion a year earlier. The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial was for a profit of 54 cents a share in the September period on revenue of $1.4 billion. 'With the continued strength of McDermott's Offshore Oil&Gas Construction business, we believe the 2007 fourth quarter will complete a remarkably strong year at McDermott,' said Bruce Wilkinson, the company's chairman and CEO.
