Bulgaria: CEZ to add 920MW capacity to Varna power station
Czech utility company CEZ plans to boost the capacity of its thermal power station in Varna by 920 MW. CEZ will build two 300MW gas-fired turbines and a 320MW condensation steam turbine. The project will be completed by 2013, said CEZ regional manager Lubos Pavlas.
The decision to invest in new power units was prompted by the greenhouse gas emission rules.
