Global EcoPower presents development plan and projects pipeline

Aix-en-Provence (France), November 14, 2016. Global EcoPower (Alternext - FR0011289198 - ALGEP) will present its strategy and development plan to the financial community during an investor meeting, which will take place at French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF) on November 15, 2016 at 11:30 am: financing strategy, power plants projects in France, international projects, development company.

FINANCING STRATEGY

Global EcoPower has chosen a non-dilutive solution to finance the equity of its power plants in France. For each transaction, the Group will apply for financing from a fund specialized in the energy transition in the form of bonds at a fixed rate (mezzanine debt), depreciable gradually over a period of 5 to 15 years. Global EcoPower will finance under these terms up to € 50 M of equity of its wind farms, i.e. 120 MW to 150 MW of installed capacity.

This funding of € 50 M will now enable the Group to keep the plants for its own account. During this time and for this activity, Global EcoPower will be able to recognize recurring turnover and EBITDA. This solution of equity financing will allow the Group to create value and benefit from the significant yield of the plants, without any capital dilution.

POWER PLANTS PROJECTS IN FRANCE

Global EcoPower has agreed the acquisition of a special purpose vehicle (SPV), which owns all rights and authorizations to build and operate a wind farm of 12.3 MW in France. This plant will be connected to the public grid during 2017.

The Group is studying other wind farm projects to be realized, including a 19.2 MW project.

Finally, Global EcoPower analyzes different photovoltaic and biogas projects in France and will commit itself as soon as the current audits will demonstrate that these operations will create value for the Group.

INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

In Puerto Rico, Global EcoPower is currently organizing the financing of a photovoltaic plant, up to US $ 56.3 million. Upon the establishment of the funding, GEP will start the construction of this 30 MWp plant, which grid connection is scheduled in 2017. In addition to the recognition of turnover inherent to the turnkey construction, Global EcoPower is expected to keep a stake of approximately 30% in this plant.

In Mauritania, Global EcoPower has been selected in the first round of an international call for tender to build a 100 MW wind farm, as part of a consortium with the turbine manufacturer Suzlon. The study of the technical file is ongoing and the final selection of the winner is expected by the end of the year, after analysis of economic data.

In Serbia, the Group has concluded an agreement with developers in order to acquire a project company owning all rights and authorizations for the construction of a 44 MW wind farm. Global EcoPower is waiting for the signature of the power purchase agreement (PPA) between the project company and the Serbian authorities.

In Senegal, Global Ecopower plans to build two photovoltaic plants of 20 MWp and 30 MWp over the fiscal years 2017 and 2018.

In Spain, the Group is still in discussions with the developer to acquire the rights of a project company carrying all rights and authorizations for the construction of a 12 MWp photovoltaic plant.

Finally, in Greece, via its subsidiary GEP-Hellas, the Group is studying different projects of less than 3 MW each, following the new Greek legislation which guarantees an attractive electricity purchase price for power plants under 3 MW.

Backed by this international development, the Group expects its turnover 2017 to exceed its previous target originally forecast at € 120 million.

DEVELOPMENT COMPANY

Global EcoPower has decided to develop internally, through its recent subsidiary GEP-DEVELOPMENT, wind and photovoltaic projects on behalf of the Group. Several projects are currently underway:

Aude: project of an agro-solar complex comprising two solar PV greenhouses, a ground-based PV plant and two cogeneration plants. Building permit application is currently underway.

Ardèche: project of a ground-based PV plant of 6 MWp. Building permit application is currently underway.

Aude: development of a wind farm of approximately 36 MW. Impact studies are currently underway.

Champagne-Ardenne: development of a wind farm of approximately 60 MW. Land is currently being secured.

The aim is to hold a portfolio of 1,000 MW in 2019.
