Fermentalg's Board of Directors welcomes two new independent members

Libourne – 17 May 2017 – The Board of Directors of Fermentalg, France's leading microalgae production company, is pleased to announce the co-optation of two new independent directors subject to the approval of the next Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

Audrey Ménassé, Head of Governance and Company Law, Danone

After nearly ten years working as a lawyer specialized in corporate law with various international law firms, Audrey Ménassé joined Danone in 2010 as a legal expert in company law. She was named Head of Governance and Company Law for Danone in 2016, where she is in charge of governance issues for the listed company (organization of Board of Director meetings, committees, shareholder meetings, registration document) as well as all issues linked to company law for all Danone legal entities.

Audrey Ménassé holds degrees from Université Paris Panthéon-Assas (DESS postgraduate diploma in notarial law and DEA postgraduate diploma in general private law) and Columbia University (LL.M). She is a member of the Bar in Paris and New York.

Audrey Ménassé actively supports the integration of employees with cognitive disabilities and organizes internships for young people with physical disabilities at Danone.

Fabienne Saadane-Oaks, Chief Executive Officer of ABF Ingredients

Fabienne Saadane-Oaks is a seasoned manager with 30 years of professional experience in various executive roles in the United States and France. Appointed Chief Executive Officer at ABF Ingredients, a subsidiary of Associated British Foods which specializes in high value-added ingredients, in March 2015, she is a recognized management expert who has worked for major groups in France (Sanofi and Rhodia where she was Chairman of Rhodia Food from 2001 to 2004), Germany (Degussa), the United States (DuPont), the United Kingdom (ABF) and Denmark (Danisco where she was a member of the Executive Committee from 2007 to 2011). She played a key role in the acquisition and subsequent consolidation of Rhodia Food by Danisco in 2004 and Danisco by DuPont in 2011,
requiring her to closely collaborate with the Boards of Directors and Supervisory Boards of each group on strategic, investment, financial communications, M&A, consolidation and human resources matters.

Fabienne Saadane-Oaks is 59 years old and holds a degree in maritime engineering from ENSTA, an MBA from ESSEC, and is fluent in French and English. She is a member of the Comité Sully, the Institut Français des Administrateurs (IFA) and the alumni associations of ESSEC and ENSTA.

The appointments will be submitted to the vote of the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on 22 June 2017.
