Why MetLife Stock Plummeted 19.2% in May
MetLife Inc. (NYSE: MET) saw its stock price plummet in May, dropping 19.2% for the month, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence. Year to date, the stock price is down about 24%, trading at around $55 per share as of market close on June 7.
It was well off the pace of the major indexes as the S 500 ticked up 0.3% in May, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 3.5%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 5.9%.
