Why Disney, Fox, and Comcast Shares Plunged Today
It's another turbulent day in the stock markets. You might think that with the COVID-19 coronavirus running rampant, people self-quarantining, social distancing, and cocooning at home watching TV, now would be a good time to own cable and television companies. But apparently, Wall Street disagrees.
Top television stocks including Disney (NYSE: DIS), Fox (NASDAQ: FOX) (NASDAQ: FOXA), and Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) are some of the biggest losers on Wall Street today. As of 1:25 p.m. EDT Monday, Disney shares were down 6.8%, Fox 7.4%, and Comcast 3.6%.
