Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) remains a volatile asset. It's up 25% this year (as of Sept. 12). However, it was down 18% at one point. And right now, it's 7% below its peak, which was established in August. Bitcoin has still performed exceptionally well historically, so it deserves some attention.
