Salesforce's (NYSE: CRM) stock recently popped after the cloud services company posted its earnings report for the first quarter of fiscal 2022. Its revenue rose 23% year-over-year to $5.96 billion, beating estimates by $70 million, and grew 20% on a constant currency basis.

Its non-GAAP earnings increased 73% to $1.21 per share, which cleared expectations by $0.33, as its GAAP earnings more than quadrupled to $0.50 per share. Gains from its strategic investments boosted its non-GAAP and GAAP earnings by $0.24 and $0.23 per share, respectively.
