Pinterest's (NYSE: PINS) stock surged 19% on Oct. 31 after the social media company posted its third-quarter report. Its revenue rose 11% year over year to $763 million and exceeded analysts' expectations by $20 million. It generated a net profit of $7 million, compared to a net loss of $65 million a year earlier, as its net profit of a penny per share cleared the consensus forecast by $0.04.
