Delta Posts Massive $6.9 Billion Third-Quarter Loss
Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) reported today that it lost $6.9 billion in the third quarter, worse than what analysts expected, as the coronavirus pandemic continues to take its toll on the aviation sector.
Airlines have seen travel demand plummet due to the pandemic. Investors came into earnings season expecting massive losses, but were eager to see exactly how bad conditions are and to hear management commentary on what comes next.
