Corning Beats Q4 Estimates

Corning (NYSE:GLW), a leader in specialty glass and ceramics, announced its fourth-quarter results for 2024 on Jan. 29. Highlights included earnings per share (EPS) of $0.57, beating expectations by $0.01, and revenue of $3.87 billion, surpassing estimates of $3.76 billion.

While it exceeded both management and analysts' expectations, challenges exist in the Environmental Technologies segment due to macroeconomic pressures. Overall, the quarter was strong, with notable growth in the Optical Communications segment.
