Warren Buffett's investing style is well known. His Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A) (NYSE: BRK.B) conglomerate owns several operating businesses, and invests in shares of others. But there are several things they all have in common.

Buffett doesn't chase the latest high-growth sector, or invest in technology he doesn't understand. He and his partner, Charlie Munger, look for moats in a business, the ability to generate a ton of cash, and steady recurring demand for its products.
