Delhi to Deoghar trip during Sawan (July–August) is special because it centers around the Kanwar Yatra and the Shravani Mela, where millions of devotees, known as Kanwariyas, undertake a sacred pilgrimage

Why the Trip is Special in Sawan
  • The Sacred Jyotirlinga : The journey leads to the  Baba Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar , which is one of the twelve highly revered Jyotirlingas in India.

  • Asia's Longest Religious Fair: During Sawan, the city hosts the Shravani Mela. Millions walk 108 km from Sultanganj to Deoghar on foot, carrying holy Gangajal to offer to Lord Shiva.
Practical Details for Your Journey
  • Distance & Travel: The journey covers about 1,200 km by road, or you can opt for a train or flight to nearby hubs (like Patna or Ranchi) to reach Deoghar.
