How Do HR Professionals Transition into Trading and Investment Learning?
My interest in trading has developed while simultaneously pursuing my career in human resources and completing academic study programs. While completing CIPD coursework along with occasionally searching for HR assignment assistance in the UK, I was able to connect with other HR students that also share a desire to learn about trading. I discovered that some of the same analytical thinking skills, evaluating research, and making decision-making are skill sets needed to learn to trade and invest.
As an example, I am curious about how other people who have transitioned into trading from outside of the finance industry have learned to trade. Do you recommend starting with technical analysis, fundamental analysis, or market psychology?
In addition, how did you start trading using smaller amounts of money (managing risk) and other errors new traders would make early on when trying to trade?
I would like to hear experiences from more experienced traders and/or anyone that transitioned into trading from a different career. Thank you in advance for sharing.
