Für den 2.Sept. hat Intel, IT-Journalisten zur Vorstellung von "something big" eingeladen. Eventuell werde am 2. September nun doch Fortschritte der neuen CPU Technologie vermeldet. Im Vorfeld spricht man über eine deutliche Leistungssteigerung der "Tiger Lake" Prozessoren - Was auch immer das bedeuten mag.

CEO Bob Swan: 
10 Milliarden US-Dollar investiert der Chiphersteller, um rund 166 Millionen Firmenanteile zurückzukaufen. Die Ratio hinter dem Vorhaben: Intel entzieht dem Aktienmarkt einen großen Teil der Wertpapiere. Da die Nachfrage an Intel-Aktien jedoch hoffentlich stabil bleibt, steigen die Preise für die verbliebenen Wertpapiere – ergo, der Wert der Marktkapitalisierung geht nach oben.
