Der Chipkonzern Intel hat im vergangenen Quartal die Geschäftserwartungen deutlich übertroffen. Mit einem Umsatz von 20 Milliarden Dollar nahm Intel rund 2,6 Milliarden Dollar mehr ein als zuvor in Aussicht gestellt. Das war zugleich ein Prozent weniger als ein Jahr zuvor. Im gesamten Jahr stiegen die Erlöse um acht Prozent auf den Rekordwert von 77,9 Milliarden Dollar. Der Quartalsgewinn fiel um 15 Prozent auf 5,9 Milliarden Dollar, wie Intel nach US-Börsenschluss am Donnerstag mitteilte.

NEW YORK (dpa-AFX Broker) - Die US-Bank JPMorgan hat das Kursziel für Intel nach Quartalszahlen von 70 auf 80 US-Dollar angehoben und die Einstufung auf "Overweight" belassen. Umsatz und Gewinn je Aktie hätten die Unternehmensziele deutlich übertroffen, schrieb Analyst Harlan Sur in einer am Freitag vorliegenden Studie. Der Umsatzausblick des Halbleiterkonzerns auf das erste Quartal sei besser als erwartet ausgefallen.
