Was bedeutet diese Aussage? - Ganz einfach, sie bedeutet dass der neue 20 x so leistungsfähige Bordcomputer, der seit 2019 in alle Teslas eingebaut wird, bisher noch weitgehend mit der alten Software läuft, die für eine technisch überholte Hardware geschrieben wurde. Sobald die neue Software verfügbar ist, werden sich die Fähigkeiten des Autopiloten um ein Vielfaches verbessern.
Dann rückt autonomes Fahren zumindest in greifbare Nähe, und die Technologieführerschaft und Marktführerschaft beim autonomen Fahren könnte allein schon über 100 Mrd. Dollar zusätzlichen Marktwert bedeuten. Außer Tesla wird es noch auf Jahre keinen Hersteller geben, der autonome Fahrzeuge als Massenprodukt auf den Markt werfen kann.
Ja, die neue Software muss gründlich getestet werden, denn je besser der Autopilot funktioniert, um so sicherheitsrelevanter wird er auch. Die Software dar nicht plötzlich abstürzen ...
ich wäre nicht sehr überrascht, wenn Tesla weitersteigt....aber eigentlich sollte die Korrektur noch nicht zu Ende sein...
