Der Dax-Aufsteiger hat sich im Billionen-Markt des bargeldlosen Bezahlens bereits ein Türchen nach China geöffnet. Chinesische Touristen können die Dienste des deutschen Konzerns auf Auslandsreisen nutzen, und sie tun das ausgiebig. Wirecard integriert derzeit chinesische Bezahlmethoden wie Alipay in Ländern in ganz Europa. Dazu gehören zum
Beispiel Geschäfte von The Body Shop in Großbritannien, Swarovski in Österreich oder Rossmann in Deutschland. Ob Wirecard derzeit seine Bezahldienstleistungen auch innerhalb Chinas einsetzen kann, ist derzeit noch Zukunftsmusik.
Die Kooperation mit Alipay und WeChat für Touristen im europäischen Ausland könnte aber ein wichtiger Schritt in diese Richtung sein.
