Lenovo der weltweit größte PC-Hersteller hat im letzten Quartal einen kräftigen Umsatzsprungverzeichnet. Der Zukauf von Motorola und des IBM Servergeschäftes (94 Mill.$) schmälerten allerdings den Gewinn. Die Erlöse steigerten sich über das Jahr um 21 Prozent auf 11,3 Milliarden Dollar. Trotzdem der starke Dollar das Geschäft beeinträchtigte. (Daten von Lenovo 21.05.2015)
Der Gewinn minderte sich um 37 Prozent auf 100 Millionen Dollar. Diese Minderung ergab sich hauptsächlich aus den Aufwendungen für die Zukäufe.
Der wichtigste Geschäftsbereich ist nach wie vor das PC-Geschäft.(7,2 Milliarden Dollar Umsatz).
In einem schwächer werdenden Markt stieg der Absatz im letzten Quartal 2,7 Prozent auf 13,3 Millionen Geräte.
Trotzdem stieg der Marktanteil auf 19,5 Prozent.
Die PC-Sparte brachte eine Steigerung des operativen Gewinn auf 391 Millionen Dollar (+11%).
Lenovo konnte also in einem schrumpfenden PC-Markt seine Marktanteile ausbauen. Der Marktveränderung, der Hinwendung zu Smartphones und Tablets begegnet Lenovo mit dem Zukauf des Motorola-Portfolios.
Hierdurch ist Lenovo mit 18,7 Millionen verkauften Smartphones weltweite auf Platz drei.
Im chinesichen Markt jedoch verteidigt Lenovo mit 60% Marktanteil seinen Spitzenplatz.
Für mich ein klarer Kauf nach dem Rücksetzer.
Habe einige Kilo Lenovo gekauft.
