- Ein gutes Geschäft in Vergnügungsparks und mit dem Verkauf von Fanartikeln lässt beim US-Medienriesen Disney die Kassen klingeln. Der Gewinn stieg im zweiten Quartal im Jahresvergleich um 10 Prozent auf gut 2,1 Mrd. Dollar (1,9 Mrd. Euro). Der Umsatz wuchs um 7 Prozent auf 12,46 Mrd. Dollar, wie Disney am Dienstag mitteilte.

Im Geschäft mit Fanartikeln gab es einen besonders deutlichen Zuwachs beim operativen Gewinn mit einem Plus von 32 Prozent auf 362 Mio. Dollar. Auslöser waren vor allem Produkte zum Film "Frozen" ("Die Eiskönigin"), die sich zu einem Dauerbrenner entwickelt haben, sowie Artikel mit den "Avengers"-Superhelden. Die Freizeitparks steuerten mit 566 Mio. Dollar einen um 24 Prozent höheren operativen Gewinn bei.
