Yamana Gold kündigte an, mindestens 260 Millionen kanadische Dollar durch den Verkauf von 49,2 Millionen neuen Aktien einnehmen zu wollen. Die neuen Aktien sollen zu 5,30 Kanada-Dollar ausgegeben werden. Zudem besteht die Möglichkeit, weitere 7,4 Millionen Aktien auszugeben. In diesem Fall würde Yamana fast 300 kanadische Dollar frisches Kapital in die Kasse spülen. Yamana will damit zum einen Schulden tilgen, zum anderen auch die Bilanz aufbessern.
