Google will Betriebssystem für Netbooks entwickelt
Netbooks werden immer beliebter. Der Preis ist für Jedermann erschwinglich (ca. 300 EUR). Da ist es ein taktisch kluger Schachzug, sich für diese Spezies PC ein opitimiertes Betriebssystem zu entwickeln. Ich glaube das könnte eine Erfolgsstory werden.
Folgende Nachricht brachte mich zu dieser Überlegung:
SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)--Der US-Internetkonzern Google Inc arbeitet bei der Entwicklung seines eigenen PC-Betriebsystems mit vier PC-Herstellern zusammen. Zu diesen Herstellern gehörten Acer und Asustek Computer, teilte die Google Inc am Mittwoch auf ihrer Homepage mit.
Die beiden Unternehmen gelten als führende Hersteller von preiswerten Netbooks. Das Betriebssystem Google Chrome soll vorrangig für Netbooks entwickelt werden, wie Google am Dienstag bereits mitteilt hatte. Für die Kunden solle das Betriebssystem ab der zweiten Hälfte des nächsten Jahres zur Verfügung stehen, hatte Google ferner erklärt.
