Barrick Gold beschreitet den richtigen Weg. Das Minen-Portfolio wird sukzessive um nicht so profitable Projekte bereinigt, bis dann hoffentlich nur noch die Cash Cows verbleiben.
Barrick hat am 31.10 angekündigt eine Kapitalerhöhung in Höhe von 3 Mrd. $ auf den Weg bringen zu wollen. Rund 2,6 Mrd. $ sollen zur Rückzahlung von Schulden verwendet werden. Die Zahl der Aktien würde sich um mehr als 16 % erhöhen, zudem ist geplant die Aktien zu 18,35 USD zu verkaufen.
Einzelheiten zur Kapitalerhöhung:
Zudem spart sich Barrick Gold mit dem "auf Eis legen" des Pascua Lama Projektes circa 1 Mrd. $ Investitionen die für 2014 vorgesehen waren.
