Gestern kurz vor 23 Uhr was es soweit und Apple gab seine Geschäftszahlen zum dritten Quartal bekannt. Ursprünglich vermutete man einen großen Absturz der Verkaufszahlen im Bereich der iPhones und iPads. Speziell im Bereich der iPads rechnete man damit, dass Apple ein großes Minus schreibt da das iPad der dritten Generation im letzten Jahr genau in das dritte Quartal gefallen ist. Dennoch konnte Apple die Erwartungen der Analysten übertreffen. Hier die genauen Zahlen:

3,8 Millionen Mac wurden verkauft (-7%)
31,2 Millionen iPhones wurden verkauft (+15%)
14,6 Millionen iPads wurden verkauft (-12%)
4,6 Millionen iPods wurden verkauft (+35%)

Man erkennt, dass Apple zwar mit der allgemeinen Wirtschaftslage zu kämpfen hat, dennoch konnte man die iPhone Verkäufe weiter steigern und das Minus der iPad-Verkäufe war nicht so groß wie eigentlich erwartet. Apple konnte mit diesen Geschäftszahlen einen Gewinn von 6,9 Milliarden US Dollar machen bei einem Quartalsumsatz von 35,3 Milliarden US Dollar. Der Gewinn liegt gut 2 Milliarden unter dem Gewinn des Vorjahres, dennoch konnte der Umsatz gehalten werden.
