Für den kommenden Montag (2.Februar) plant Jaffé in Porto Verhandlungen mit dem dortigen Management. Neben dem Chipwerk, das in Porto die in Dresden produzierten Speicherbausteine testet und einhäust, hat Qimonda als einer der größten ausländischen Investoren in Portugal noch eine weitere Aktivität: Das Unternehmen ist dort dabei, gemeinsam mit der Centrosolar AG eine Fabrik für Solarzellen aufzubauen. Qimonda-Partner Centrosolar äußerte sich optimistisch, dass dias Vorhaben mit Hilfe der portugiesischen Regierung fortgeführt werden könne.
Mal davon abgesehen das Qimonda in Deutschland nicht sterben darf da Tausende Arbeitsplätze dranhängen ist natürlich eine Kooperation mit einer Solarfirma auch eine Option um das Überleben von Qimonda zu retten.
