Hamburg, Deutschland - Evotec AG (Deutsche Börse, TecDAX, ISIN: DE 000 566480 9) und Roche haben heute entschieden, freiwillig die Phase-II- Wirksamkeitsstudie mit EVT 101 in der Indikation 'behandlungsresistente Depression' zu beenden.
Die Entscheidung, diese klinische Phase-II-Studie abzubrechen, wurde getroffen aufgrund von Schwierigkeiten bei der Rekrutierung von Patienten und das dadurch entstehende Risiko, keine eindeutigen Ergebnisse zu bekommen. EVT 101 wurde bisher von gesunden Probanden und Patienten gut vertragen. Schwierigkeiten bei der Durchführung dieser Phase-II-Studie in der Indikation 'behandlungsresistente Depression', weitere benötigte Toxikologie-Studien und möglicherweise nötige Dosierungsanpassungen führten zu einer allgemeinen Verzögerung.
