Lynas erhöhte die Ressourcenschätzung seines Mount Weld Projekts in Westaustralien um etwa 19,4% und erwartet ab nächstem Jahr eine Produktion von 1,4 Mio. Tonnen Seltene-Erden-Oxid. Damit könnte Lynas der größte Produzenten Seltener Erden außerhalb Chinas werden.
Die Ressourcen von Mount Weld wurden in zwei Lagerstätten aufgeteilt; die neu bezeichnete Duncan Lagerstätte befindet sich nördlich, östlich und südlich der Central Lanthanide Lagerstätte. Die Ressourcen von Duncan belaufen sich auf 7,62 Mio. Tonnen mit einem Gehalt von 4,8% REE für etwa 366.000 Tonnen Seltene Erden.
