Kaum eine Firma sollte so stark vom starken Dollar profitieren wie MTU. Dies betrifft beide Geschäftsfelder, also Triebwerke und Instandhaltung ziviler Antriebe. Ausserdem ist MTU ein möglicher Lieferant für die "kleinen" Flugzeuge sowohl bei Airbus wie auch bei Boeing. Umsatz und Ergebnis von 2009 zeigen ausserdem, dass die Firma auf soliden Beinen steht.
