Dank der verbesserten Produktivität der Rosebel Mine und dem verlängerten Minenleben der Doyon Mine kann IAMgold seine Produktionsprognose für 2009 erneut anheben.
Das Unternehmen erwartet jetzt, zwischen 940.000 und 950.000 oz Gold zu produzieren. Im Januar war man noch von 880.000 oz ausgegangen, hatte die Prognose aber im Juni auf 910-920.000 oz angehoben.
Man erwartet weiterhin Cashkosten zwischen 460 und 470 US$ je Unze.
Wie CEO Joseph Conway sagte, werde man weiter die laufenden Minen optimieren und sich auch nach möglichen Übernahmezielen umsehen.
