Der Wert steht aktuell gut 65% unter seinen Höchstständen aus der Mitte letzten Jahres. Ende 2007 hatte die Aktie sogar einen Wert von mehr als 14 Euro.
NOVAGOLD RESOURCES konzentriert sich derzeitig auf den Wandel vom Explorer zum Goldproduzenten. Dabei spielt die Rock-Creek-Mine eine erhebliche Rolle. Derzeitig werden dort ca. 100.000 Unzen Gold pro Jahr produziert. Weitere Explorationsprogramme lieferten gute Ergebnisse.
Insgesamt ist eine Investition in das Unternehmen risikoreicher als eine Investition in einen Goldproduzenten. Gleichzeitig wachsen natürlich auch die Chancen.
