RTE Hongkong - (www.emfis.com) - Die Aktie des in Hongkong gehandelten chinesischen Aluminiumherstellers Aluminum Corp of China Ltd (Chalco) wird heute um über zehn Prozent nach unten geprügelt. Hintergrund für den massiven Kursverlust sind die heute veröffentlichten Zahlen für das abgelaufene Geschäftsjahr 2008 sowie einem negativen Ausblick für das erste Quartal.
Der Nettogewinn ist 2008 um 99,9 Prozent auf nur noch 9,2 Millionen Yuan gesunken. Im vierten Quartal wies der Aluminiumriese einen Nettoverlust von 2,57 Milliarden Yuan (376,2 Millionen US Dollar) aus. Analysten haben stattdessen nur einen Verlust von 260 Millionen Yuan erwartet.
Forciert wurde die negative Meldung mit einer Gewinnwarnung für das erste Quartal. Chalco geht im ersten Quartal von einem erneuten Verlust aus.
