Steria extends commercial partnership with CAST

Agreement to offer clients rapid diagnostics as part of Steria: RightApps Management

Paris, France, 04 September 2012 - Steria, a leading provider of IT-enabled business services, today announces that it has extended its partnership with CAST, the world leader in software analysis and measurement, to provide advanced application management services as part of the Steria: RightApps Management service. The agreement will allow Steria to spot and fix clients’ application issues faster, thereby reducing complexity and risk to better enable IT transformation.

As applications continue to proliferate in the enterprise, IT teams are increasingly faced with growingly complex architectures, which can present new challenges for technology teams. The enhanced commercial agreement will address that challenge by enabling Steria clients to benefit from a Rapid Portfolio Analysis (RPA) service, based on specialist diagnostic software called CAST Highlight. This software conducts a radar sweep of clients’ application environments to identify the highest 'risk zones' in the application portfolio, so RPA is intended for clients looking for a way to quickly maximise the business value of their IT portfolio, reduce the business risk associated with failures in mission-critical application software,
and improve the level of trust between IT and the business.

Once the best possible route to achieving the client’s business objectives in the fastest possible way has been determined, RPA will inform key decision makers whether Steria is on the right track regarding transformation services.. The agreement is a key part of the RightApps ethos to always provide clients with the right applications management solution for their business needs.

An ideal complement to the more detailed CAST Application Intelligence Platform (AIP) Services Solution already incorporated within RightApps, RPA is browser-based for ease of use, can analyse up to 50 applications in a week and, since no code is actually transferred, is completely secure with no confidentiality issues.

Marc Zablit, CAST’s Executive Vice President of Business Development, comments on the partnership, “CAST is very pleased to be part of the innovative RightApps transformation program. We are very committed to Steria’s industrialisation program and to making all CAST software and service capabilities successful, both for Steria’s existing clients and in helping to secure new business opportunities."

Karine Brunet, Executive Vice-President, industrial service business lines, Steria, says, “Applications management is incredibly important for today’s enterprise, particularly as the environment continues to evolve. Employees now demand access to a plethora of applications from a multitude of devices, putting increasing pressure on IT departments. The agreement with CAST will mean that clients can more easily identify the applications that will give them the greatest IT transformation benefits, and so realise business advantages more quickly. It is imperative that our clients are able to better manage the growing complexity of application environments now - and this agreement will help enable them to do just that”.
