Steria appoints Xavier GUEPET Director of Group Communications

Paris, 14 January 2013 - Steria, a leading provider of IT-enabled business services, announces the appointment of Xavier GUEPET to the position of Group Communications Director. Based at the company's head office at Issy-les-Moulineaux (France), Xavier will work closely with the group's international subsidiaries to ensure the long-term development of the company's internal and external communications strategy in line with Steria's development objectives. He reports directly to Patricia LANGRAND, Executive VP, Director of Business Development, Marketing and Communications.

Prior to joining Steria, Xavier spent a number of years at Veolia Transport and Veolia Environnement, starting in marketing and project management (2001). He then joined the corporate communications department in 2008 where he was in charge of coordinating the communicators' network in addition to written and event-based communication. In 2009, he was appointed Head of Veolia Environnement's multimedia unit, responsible for developing and deploying the group's Internet and Intranet strategy. Finally, in 2011, he was named Director of the digital and sponsorship department, covering all digital projects and audiovisual productions as well as the partnership with competitive yachtsman Roland Jourdain.

Xavier GUEPET holds a Master's degree in urban geography from the University of Quebec in Montreal and the Joseph Fourier University (Grenoble 1). He was certified in digital marketing by the Stratégies Digital Academy (Paris Dauphine) and teaches courses on corporate digital strategies at CELSA (at the Masters 2 level).
