OL GROUPE : KENNY TETE JOINS OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS

Olympique Lyonnais has signed the young Dutch international defender Kenny Tete to a four-year contract, i.e. until 30 June 2021.

The amount of the transfer is €4 million, plus an earn-out of 10% of the capital gain on any future transfer.

Kenny Tete, 21, is considered one of the best Dutch full-backs. Last season, he played in the Europa League semi-final matches against Olympique Lyonnais and played 23 matches (2 goals) all competitions combined. These included two with the Dutch national team, for which he has been selected six times.

Joining just after Fernando Marçal, Ferland Mendy, Bertrand Traoré and Mariano Diaz, Kenny will help the club achieve its ambitious goals. His arrival is another manifestation of the club's confidence in the most promising players in Europe, whether trained at the Groupama OL Academy or elsewhere.

Florian Maurice said, "Kenny is a player we have been following for more than a year and a half. We saw him play several times this season with Ajax. He has attractive qualities, both offensive and defensive, and strong potential for growth. We are very pleased Kenny will be coming to Lyon.”
