DBT selected to supply fast charging stations to regional utility Syndicat Départemental d'Energie d'Ille-et-Vilaine in conjunction with Bouygues Energies and Services

DBT (ISIN: FR0013066750 – Ticker: ALDBT), the European market leader in quick charge stations for electric vehicles, will supply the Département of Ille-et-Vilaine with nine universal quick charge stations by the end of 2016, in partnership with Bouygues Energies & Services.

Nine DBT “béa”s

The regional utility SDE35[1] has launched a plan to deploy electric vehicle charging stations, naming them “BÉA”s (“bornes électriques pour automobiles”).

It has selected DBT to supply 9 universal quick charge stations, in conjunction with Bouygues Energies & Services which will provide installation and supervision services.

The DBT stations will allow a user to fully charge their vehicle in less than 30 minutes using any of the three standard connectors available: COMBO CCS, CHAdeMO or AC Z.E.Ready. In keeping with its strategy, DBT is guaranteeing 100% compatibility with all electric vehicles currently on the market.

The charging stations will be custom-branded and will be strategically located on the Département's major road arteries.

Innovative charging stations powered by 100% renewable electricity

Thanks to DBT technology and the Alizé supervision system provided by Bouygues Energies & Services, users will be able to:

  • see the availability of charging stations in real time;

  • book a slot remotely.

The regional utility Syndicat départemental d'énergie d'Ille-et-Vilaine buys the electricity to power the charging stations from Enercoop. Enercoop is a cooperative that sources power exclusively from producers of renewable electricity.

Hervé Borgoltz, DBT's Chairman & CEO, comments on this news:

“This new commercial success confirms the pertinence of our strategy which is focused on rolling out universal quick charge stations. With this infrastructure we will be able to widen the use of electric vehicles, regardless of vehicle make and connection standards, and not just in major urban centres. This message was positively echoed at the last Conference of Mayors and Local Authorities and confirms our highly favourable prospects going forward.”

Marc Paboeuf, Services Development Officer, North-West Region, at Bouygues Energies et Services, says:

“Bouygues Energies & Services has some 10,000 charging stations installed or being installed across France. And at the core of its offer is ease of use: it has developed a comprehensive suite of services, from network engineering to various options for operating them. Twenty-one networks in France have now put their trust in Bouygues to offer users station-geolocation, booking, easy-payment, and subscription services.”
