ASK will supply Navigo pass card readers that allow online subscription renewal to the RATP and SNCF

  • 3 years initial contract

  • Already the leading supplier of Navigo passes, ASK strengthens its relationship with the RATP and SNCF

ASK (Euronext Paris - FR0011980077 - ASK), a global leader in secure contactless technology solutions for Transport and Identity, has been selected by the RATP and SNCF to supply, over the next three-year period, card readers enabling users to recharge Navigo passes from the comfort of their homes.

In order to facilitate the renewal of Navigo subscriptions (monthly and weekly), Solidarité Transport, Gratuité Transport, Améthyste and imagine R (for students), the RATP and SNCF distribute a USB reader that allows Navigo pass users to renew their subscriptions on-line from their own computer.

Sold in all RATP and SNCF points of sale, the Navigo reader allows users to simply and quickly renew their Navigo pass subscription from home on the Navigo.fr web site - thus avoiding queues at SNCF and RATP points of sale.

This reader is easy to use and compatible with the personal computers configurations mostly used by the general public.

Patrick Sure, Director of the Contactless Solutions Division comments:

"We are happy to have been selected by the RATP and SNCF to supply this new solution which aims to simplify the usage of Navigo passes for all users of the public transportation network throughout the Île-de-France, as we already did in the city of Reims.

The Navigo reader connects the Internet and the contactless technology of the Navigo pass. With this new multi-year contract, we are further developing a trust relationship of more than 15 years with the RATP and SNCF. This relationship started with the first generations of dual contact/contactless cards which stand at the origin of today's subscription cards."
