Why Kohl's Stock Was Climbing on Thursday


Kohl's (NYSE: KSS) saw its stock price surge on Thursday, jumping 5.7% as of 11:50 a.m. ET. It had been up as much as 10.2% during morning trading. The stock was trading at about $23 per share as of 11:50 a.m. ET, down about 8.8% year to date.

The major indexes were all up on Thursday, as the S&P 500 had gained 16 points (0.4%), the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 27 points (0.1%), and the Nasdaq Composite had risen 77 points (0.7%) as of 11:50 a.m. ET.
